This egoma oil, also known as perilla oil, is grown in Niigata and comes from the green-leaved perilla plant (Perilla frutescens). After harvesting, the seeds are lightly roasted, which makes the taste and smell reminiscent of linseed oil. The perilla oil obtained is particularly rich in α-linolenic acid, an important omega-3 fatty acid. Since the human body cannot produce α-linolenic acid itself, it is an essential nutrient.

This Egoma oil is 100% grown and produced in Niigata by organic rice farmer Yasunaka
