Nikka Double Oak Blend Whisky

The renowned Japanese company Nikka operates two traditional distilleries: one near the mouth of the Yoichi River, known for its coal-fired stills, and the other on the southern island, which also produces grain whisky in a Coffey still. For ‘Nikka from the Barrel’, single malt and grain whiskies from both locations are blended and then matured for several months in oak barrels after blending. With an alcohol content of 51.4% by volume, this whisky unfolds a complex interplay of aromas: spicy clove and cinnamon notes meet fruity oranges, raspberries and walnuts, while subtle sherry nuances add additional depth.
