by slowly soaking selected Japanese plums in pure
Junmai sake from Kikusui.
Three high-quality plum varieties from the
prefecture of Niigata are used - Koshi no Ume, Kosaka Ume and Fujigorō Ume -
known for their uniform size, rich flesh and dense
structure.
Enjoyed chilled, the umeshu develops a refreshing
plum flavour and an expressive, elegant acidity. It is also a real treat ‘on the rocks’
or mixed with soda - just the way you like it.
A plum wine with a full-bodied sweetness and finely balanced acidity -
masterfully created by a traditional sake brewery
