Ito no Shio - special sea salt
This special salt is collected off the coast of the island of Goto (Nagasaki) at great depths and is extracted and ground naturally. Akamoku seaweed from Itoshima (Fukuoka) is added. This very high-quality product is an ideal and very healthy salt for all kinds of dishes. It is soft and pleasant and provides the body with the most important minerals and, above all, good magnesium.

Ito no Shio was the first product in Japan to be honoured with the PremioSlowFood award.
