Shiratamako - Klebe Reis Pulver
1 Beutel / 180 gr / JapanMochi flour / Shiratamako (白玉粉), formerly known as kanzarashiko (寒晒粉), is a white flour / granulate made from Japanese glutinous rice (mochigome もち米) with a fine flavour.
End products made with this flour have a fine, sticky consistency and are elastic.
To make it, the glutinous rice is washed and soaked. It is then finely ground with the addition of a little water. The liquid is then sieved, dried in the sun and pressed into a coarse granulate.
