This special salt is extracted off the coast of Goto Island (Nagasaki) at great depths, naturally processed and ground, with the addition of Akamoku seaweed from Itoshima (Fukuoka). This high-quality product is an ideal and very healthy salt for all kinds of dishes. It has a mild and pleasant flavour and supplies the body with the most important minerals, especially valuable magnesium.

Ito no Shio was the first product in Japan to be honoured with the PremioSlowFood award.
